The Colorado Caucus is a series of precinct, county, and state meetings that determine which candidates make it onto the Democratic primary ballot this June. By participating in a precinct caucus and the county assembly in support of Joe, Coloradans can elect someone who will lead with integrity and stand up to corporate interests.
Who is Eligible To Caucus
Anyone who has pre-registered or registered as a Democrat at their precinct in Colorado by February 9, 2026, which is at least 22 days prior to the caucus.
How The Caucus & Assembly Process Works
Step 1 - Precinct Caucus
Precinct Caucuses are hyper-local meetings held to elect delegates to the County Assemblies from March 3-7, 2026. Date and time will vary by precinct.
→ Voters elect delegates at a caucus. Delegates decide which candidates move forward to the Democratic primary ballot at the county assembly, and help decide which platform ideas get heard.

Step 2 - County Assembly
A County Assembly is a County-wide meeting held to elect delegates for the State Assembly. El Paso’s County Assembly will take place on March 14th, 2026, from 8 AM to 3 PM. This is only for elected delegates.
→ Assembly is where your precinct’s voice becomes part of the countywide decisions, who makes the ballot, which ideas move forward, and how El Paso County shows up in the statewide process. The delegates also nominate candidates for Congress, the Colorado General Assembly, the State Board of Education, the Board of Regents, the District Attorney, and other offices.
Step 3 - Statewide Assembly
State Assembly is a meeting where delegates vote on candidates to appear on the June Democratic primary ballot. This takes place on March 28, 2026, in Pueblo.
→ This is where a candidate preference poll for the highest contested statewide race takes place.

It’s time to grab your walking shoes! Join CD-05 candidate Joe Reagan and volunteers to knock on doors and chat with neighbors about the upcoming election!
We will start with a brief training and pick up supplies, then knock on doors! Make sure to bring a charged phone and comfortable walking shoes. No experience needed. We will train you, and on-site support will be provided.

Help Joe Flip the 5th! Join us for a caucus training to help us get Joe on the ballot this spring! You will learn how to get involved and share the news about Joe while uniting with Democrats in your neighborhood.
Please note: You must have been registered as a Democrat in El Paso County by February 9th to participate in the caucus for Joe. Precinct Caucuses take place across the county from March 3–5, 2026. Your exact date, time, and location depend on where you live.
